Kutchan is located just a 2-hour drive from Sapporo and forms a central hub for the area’s thriving agriculture industry.
Blessed with warm dry summers as well as world famous powder snow in winter, the area benefits from an all year-round tourism industry and attracts both domestic and international tourists.
Kutchan town is the main logistics and communication hub of the Niseko region and provides its inhabitants with extensive retail opportunities, food and beverage experiences, traditional cultural experiences and numerous yearly festivals.
Kutchan is far from its full potential however and has been blessed with a direct connection to the newly built Shinkansen high speed rail network, a large section of which is already operational in Hokkaido. With a planned completion target of 2028, Kutchan’s Shinkansen rail line and station will transform the area and will promote significant growth in both property and commerce.
